Book number two in the Hygienic system series by Herbert Shelton. An excellent resource on hygienic eating practices and natural nutrition!

This book covers the basics of healthy eating and the science of nutrition. He talks about minerals, vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates and fats – as well as mental influences on nutrition and general feeding principles.

If you are an adherent to the 80/10/10 diet by Doug Graham, know that you are eating a hygienic diet and that Dr Graham himself builds upon some of the fundamental work laid down by Herbert Shelton.

A pioneer in the raw food movement, Herbert Shelton wrote many books and was part of creating the beginning of the health food revolution that is still going on today!

It’s very educational, highly and intelligently written. I recommend it to anyone seeking a better understanding of the science of nutrition and general hygienic principles!
